Philadelphia Ballet

For 60 years, Philadelphia Ballet has cultivated an enduring appreciation for dance through world-class performances–inspiring the next generation with exceptional education and professional training and connecting with the community through meaningful and inclusive programming. Philadelphia Ballet annually presents a season of six programs, including George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker®.

Philadelphia Ballet performs at the historic Academy of Music, located on the Avenue of the Arts. Home to Philadelphia Ballet, the Academy of Music opened its doors in 1857 and has been showcasing some of the world's premier artists and performers ever since. Today, the theater is widely used for a variety of performances, seating up to 2,600 guests.
